In 2019 the volume of Russia's exports of poultry meat may spread throughout 250 thousand tons. Such occurred while a working trip to the Vladimir region on Thursday by Director-General of the National Union of poultry producers Sergey Lakhtyukhov told reporters.
"If in 2017 the volume of poultry meat exports amounted to a few more than 100 thousand tons, in 2018 it was already 183 thousand tons, < ... > we expect to reach the figure of around 250 thousand tons by the end of the year," he affirmed.
At present, according to Lakhtyukhov, duck meat has distinct export potential, because of the interest of the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, the States of South-East Asia and China, where duck meat is superior meat.
Anton Romanov is the General Director of the management company "Russian field," launched the expansion of large-scale production of duck meat in the Vladimir region. The company is already accredited in China and intends to begin supplying products in the autumn of 2019.
The national project "international cooperation and export" consists of five Federal projects: "Industrial export," "Export of agricultural products," "logistics of international trade," "Export of services," and "Systemic measures for the development of international cooperation and export." It points to achieve the share of exports of manufacturing products, agricultural products, and services in GDP by up to 20%, as well as the growth of exports of non-primary non-energy goods by 2024 to $ 250 billion.
