The National Union of poultry producers gave its feedback on egg consumption by the Russians.

The use of eggs above the recommended norm does not pose a risk to human health, but on the contrary, it is useful for a person at any age, said Sergey Lakhtyukhov, Director-General of the National union of poultry producers, to RIA Novosti.

According to him, the content of trace elements and essential amino acids in the egg is optimal for the human body development from a very early to old age.

Earlier it was reported that the Russians eat about 280 eggs a year on average, which is 8% more than the norm. As for this indicator, the Russian Federation is 17% ahead of the USA and 33% ahead of Europe. More eggs – approximately 300 per year on average - are eaten only in China.
